Saying Goodbye
My cute parents entered the MTC today. We are all so excited for them. They spend a week there doing mission training and then fly to Bolivia next week. I'm so jealous. Doesn't it just sound like such an adventure? (Although a hard working adventure to be sure.) My mom is going to be fluent in Spanish or determined to try and be. Jealousy is just seeping out of me. How cool to do the mission thing with your spouse?!
It will be sad not to have my parents around for family events and holidays but the three years will pass so quickly (I hope). We are also happy for an excuse to visit South America.
I'm really looking forward to the blessings that come with missionary work!

Maybe we should all try to improve our spanish while they're gone, and when they get back, we can go on an adults only trip to Mexico or Costa Rica, and show off our new skills...just a thought.
We are also looking foward to the blessings of missionary work.
Lauren, have I not mentioned that Spanish is not my forte. I rather stink at it. I'll pretend to know Spanish though if it means I get a trip to Costa Rica!
how fun! i am not as mature as you - i was thrilled when my dad got called to be a stake president a couple of years ago because it meant they wouldn't be leaving on their mission for at least about 9-10 years :)
Who doesn't want some extra blessings?! I hope you get to have some amazing South American adventures in your near future.
I am with you on the desire to go out and serve with my spouse. Your family is going to be swimming in blessings.
