Rosie & Her High-Heeled Shoe
This week we got a bag of hand-me-downs that Rosie was crazy about. Among the various treasures was a tiny, high-heel shoe, which looked like character shoes for a dance. It fit Rosie perfectly. Notice that I did not say pair of shoes, because there was only one.

Yesterday before church, Rosie wore the single high-heel shoe around the house. She loved the *clunk* sound it made on the hardwood. I kept begging her to put on two matching shoes but to no avail. When we arrived at church, I looked down to find that she still had on mismatched shoes. Apparently, she was trying to make a fashion-forward statement in Primary. She was not bothered at all by the difference in height or that she didn't have a pair of them. When she walked, you could hear the clunk, scuff, clunk, scuff. It sounded like a pirate with a wooden leg.
But what do you do when you have such a fashionista? I let it go with a smile on my face and did my best to suppress my giggles. Rosie rocks.

Sarah would do the same thing. But, you must sacrifice for beauty...says my Mom.
With strollers, everyone swears by the Bob. The double just seemed a little wide. There are apparently lots on KSL and Craigslist. But, they turn on a dime. I also have a 'Friends and Family' from REI where you can get 25% off of a new one if you want. They are so pricey I think that it would save well over $100.
The Bugaboo I have has the option for an attachment for a standing child. I was just going to use that. But you will have two little little ones. I do not think that will work.
Let me know if you want the REI coupon. Now that you are official graduates again, maybe it is time for a Bob Dualie...or maybe that time will come a little later...or maybe we will come to our senses about spending so much on something like a stroller.
That cracks me up. Sounds like something I would have done as a little girl!
I love how kids just don't care what other people think. And it's nice when we as parents can feel a little bit the same and laugh at our awesome kids.
That is soooo funny!
you are SO much better than me!!! go rosie :) she probably felt amazing.
that is so funny! She probably felt really special too!
That is so cute. And she's young enough that she can get away with it. It probably wouldn't work so well if I, for example, tried to do that. :)
It reminds me when I was the Stake Relief Society President and coming back to our home ward from a meeting I sat down to find Kerianne was wearing my silver glittery shoes that she had gotten out for halloween. That wasn't too bad, but then I looked at Dad and he was wearing the pants of one suit and the coat of another suit. They needed a mother at the crossroads! Go Rosie!
You're right. She totally rocks! And congrats on graduating...it's your prize too!
