Hair Do's and Don'ts
I'm not an accomplished hair stylist, nor will I ever be. My girls will always suffer because of it I fear. Most already know that Rosie's hair is very featherish and is difficult to style, it also doesn't help that Rosie will undo anything that has been done within moments, if she can.

Shown are some attempts on a style for Rosie's hair. In August, she had a body perm to help with her "no style" look.
In December, she had a shampoo-in color for her fading golden locks. She now has terrible roots.
This month I decided it was time for Rosie to have a real cut and style in hopes of solving all my problems with her hair. Unfortunately, as I have discovered, her hair still looks awful 90% of the time. There is no such thing as a wash and wear look for Rosie. The fault is all mine of course. The most I will do her hair is twice a day. You can't just spray in water or some chemical to spruce up her hair. All ponies and hair clips are ripped out within minutes and usually hidden by her in some special place. I haven't mentioned that Rosie has very little hair in the front of her head because she has ripped out so much of her hair. I spend way too much time trying to make that area look as though she might have bangs or something. I have gotten better with round brushing her hair and touch ups with curling irons but I barely do that for myself, how could I possibly continue this routine??
You can see by some of the torturous acts that I've already submitted my 3 year old to that I'm desperate. I'm starting to think that my Grandma Ruth had it all figured out. Wigs are really the best way to go when you have thin hair.
Help!! I'm looking for any solutions. I know her hair will thicken up eventually, but how do I last until then?

You are a diligent Mom. Wow. A body perm never occurred to me...and the wash in color. I am impressed.
I need to get Sarah's mullet cut. I have been procrastinating the day. My Mom trimmed it a little, and it looks much better. It is just funny to see Sarah's whispy blonde hair against 3 month olds with a head full of dark luscious locks.
I'm all for a round brushed A-line while they are little. I like to keep it pretty short and stack it really good. Unless she has very curly hair naturally it should last for 2 days each time you round brush it. Other than that I would say maybe a pixie cut. It would solve all problems. It would be too short to even worry about anything;) No matter what she looks darling. You can't take a face like that and have it look bad no matter what the hair is doing at the moment
and now you will have two darling girls to look after their hair! You do a great job!
Ha ha! Awww...Rosie girl, I miss you. You are beautiful always. Kiss kiss little one.
Sharalee, I want to be notified immediately if any "action" happens... keep us posted.
I have to agree with jenlivi, whoever she is. When I round brush Noelle's hair, it does last for several days even without hair clips of any kind. I usually only wash it twice a week and I round brush it every time I wash it. It takes way less time than styling her hair every day. Good luck.
Shara, I have been getting caught up on your blog again and I love it!!
I can't believe you are due so soon!! wow! How exciting! I hope all goes well. I'll keep checking back for an up-date.
I don't find out what ours is until the end of March sometime. I can't wait. (emily's praying for a sister).
I like the flat iron for my girls hair. Their hair is pretty thin and won't hold the curling iron very well but it seems to keep with the flat iron whether we flip it, curl it under, just straighten or do ringlets. Worth a try...
Good luck with this baby! I didn't realize it was so soon.
Hi Shar! At my request, Michele shared your blog address with me. I hope you don't mind. You have the most adorable family and I have loved getting to know you better. I really LOVE your posts...your outlook and love for motherhood and your hubby. And Wiley makes me laugh! I thoroughly enjoyed watching him at the Showcase concert...what a natural! Hope to run into you soon! Love, J
For Ben, I replied to your comments on my blog, so check it out.
I'm impressed at all the trouble you've gone to for Rosie's hair. I don't think I've done most of those on my own hair. Does she like headbands or flowers? Isabelle's hair is just starting to grow so I haven't figured everything out yet, either. Maybe Rosie will let you put things in her hair once she sees things in the baby's hair.
