What is it with boys and footballs?
Wiley and his buddies like to play tackle football outside on the lawn. They were hammin' it up in some of these pictures.

The other day Wiley came home from school and three of his buddies came over to play tackle football. They came in sat down for a rest and a treat and started taking about the "game". Lincoln asked,"do you guys want the eagles to win or the cougars to win?"
I had to leave the room I was laughing in amazement at the conversation topic of five year olds. Since when do these little guys follow the games? How can they possibly have an opinion regarding college football teams? Each boy said which team they wanted to win. My mouth at this time had dropped to the floor. How could Wiley possibly know what he was talking about?
Later that night I asked Wiley the same question hoping to get the same lively conversation that he had participated in earlier.
"Mom, I like cougars, but I think eagles are cool, they can like fly and swoop around. Birds are cool."
I chuckled all night and was relieved to discover that although one boys was really asking about the college teams, at least my boy was sharing his opinion on just the animal he liked best. Thank goodness. Wiley, don't grow up too fast.

That is hilarious! I love having kids just so I can hear the funny things that come out of their mouths.
That's so funny! I have a nephew who sounds like your sons little friend. He follows it all and it's pretty funny!
It has been fun to see your pictures and catch up with you on your blog. What a cute family!
And how fun to reconnect! I found Ali through one of my sister in laws links. I was so glad because I had been thinking about her lately...remembering she grew up in the Sacramento area.
Every time we drive to Utah I think of you because of course, we drive through Reno. My younger brother also has a good a friend from Reno who knew your family. Kevin Bills? I think his family moved to Utah a couple of years ago.
We are living in Woodland, CA right now. It's about 15 minutes NW of Sacramento and 10 minutes north of Davis, CA. We lived in Spokane, WA for the last few years (we loved it there!)while my husband went to law school at Gonzaga University and now he works for a Healthcare company here in CA. I never thought I would live in Cali, but here we are....I stay at home with my three little people.
I'll have to add your link, (if you don't mind) so I can take a peek in the future! Tell Lindi to start a blog! I am so awful at keeping in touch with people, but I've done a little better since blogging. I would love to reconnect with her too! Talk later! Amy
Are you sure Ben's not sneaking him some late night Sports Center?
Wiley looks so BIG in this picture! Did he get Kimball's message on Halloween? We miss you guys. Please tell Wiley to stop growing until we can see him at Christmas.
