A Busy June:
Our First Triathlon
For two months we worked on our triathlon training. We had a great time. We were even able to convince a few family members to join us in our efforts. Ben looks tough! I won't show any of my action shots because I look quite dorky and wimpy. I felt tough though, does that count?
The TREK:

Ben and I were asked to be Aunts and Uncles for the Pioneer TREK in Wyoming. We had a great time, but we froze in the nights and were sweating during the days. Pictured is our handcart with our kids we were to look after during the four days. Good thing we had been training for the triathlon otherwise I'm not sure we would have lasted all those miles walking.

Congrats on the triatholon and you don't look dorky. The pioneer trek looked like fun. We need to hang-out again.
What a team! We should ALL enter a race as one big crazy family!
You guys look like some pretty hip pioneers there with those sunglasses
Ben can look pretty burley with his beard grown out. Does he look like a funny version of the Brawney Man?
I'm so glad you posted some pics! way to go in your triathalon! that is a REAL athelete's sport! (I'm a terrible biker) You look awesome and I know you weren't wimpy!
Go to this website and follow the steps. It's way easy and the templates are really cute.

I am very pleased to see that you are back in blogging action!
Congrats on your race. I don't think another 1/2 marathon is in my future, but a triathlon sounds like a blast!
and might I say...you look very becoming in a bonnet!
You did a triathalon?! Tell me when you want to do another and I'll train with you! I totally want to do that! You rock!
You guys did a triathlon? Holy cow! Congrats! I had some friends trying to convince me to start training for one -- only problem was, I don't know how to swim (I mean, I can stay afloat for heaven's sake, but I have no technique whatsoever). So one friend tried to teach me. The awesome part was -- I was eight months pregnant. Suffice it to say, my triathlon training days were short-lived.
Maybe one day ... thanks for the inspiration.
What up Welch Family. It looks like you guys have a good time. I really enjoyed looking at your blog. I can't believe you did a triathalon. Congratulations!! We'd sure love to see you in Alaska sometime. Keep in touch.
